The fox and the grapes
One hot summer day, a hungry fox was wandering through the forest when he saw a bunch of juicy grapes hanging from a high vine. His mouth watered as he imagined the sweet taste of the grapes. The fox jumped up to grab them but couldn’t reach.
He tried again and again, jumping higher each time, but the grapes were just too high. After several failed attempts, the fox finally gave up. To comfort himself, he turned his nose up and said, “Those grapes are probably sour anyway. Who wants them?” With that, he walked away, pretending he didn’t care.
The lesson:
When we fail to achieve what we desire, instead of denying its value, we should honestly accept our failure. This will help motivate us to try harder in the future.
