 Escape The Limit

The Honest Woodcutter

Once upon a time, a poor woodcutter was cutting wood by a river when his axe slipped from his hands and fell into the water. Feeling sad, he suddenly saw a fairy appear, offering to help.

She first brought up a golden axe and then a silver axe, asking each time if it was his. The woodcutter honestly replied “no” to both. Finally, the fairy brought up his iron axe, and he happily claimed it. Pleased with his honesty, the fairy rewarded him with all three axes.

The lesson:

By staying honest and asking only for what was his, he received an even greater reward. This shows that honesty and contentment can lead to unexpected blessings.
